What is Care Home?

Care Home is a group of flats in a block which are registered with social services and provide accommodation, care and support for the frail and elderly. The units of accommodation provided are not fully self contained and meals, laundry and personal care is provided by staff members of the Association.

Management Arrangement

Care home will have a team of staff ranging from a manager to care officers to care assistants who provide a full range of dedicated care and support services to the residents.

Communal Facilities

The number and level of communal facilities vary from scheme to scheme, however the following are available in a typical scheme:

• Guest room
• Communal bathroom/shower
• Common room with TV/Video and Zee television
• Communal kitchen
• Communal telephone
• Laundry
• Communal gardens
• Lift.
