Transformation of Ardler Village, Dundee
 

At Ardler Village in Dundee , Sanctuary Scotland Housing Association is working with the City Council and residents to modernise a former council estate following the transfer of some 1,500 homes to the Association back in 2000.


The project involves the demolition of the majority of the former council properties and replacing them with 750 high quality low rise homes to rent; 350 homes for outright and subsidised sale plus associated retail and community facilities.

7 year redevelopment programme at Ardler Village, Dundee


To work alongside Sanctuary Scotland and the other partners we set up and funded the Ardler Village Trust - a community development vehicle aimed at securing the long-term prosperity of the area.

A seven-year redevelopment programme, which began in 2001, is well underway and work is currently ahead of schedule.
