Shared ownership homes at Bevan Lee

New homes

Leading UK housing provider Sanctuary Group, in partnership with Cannock Chase District Council and contractors J & S Seddon Limited, recently held a successful event to celebrate the completion of the Bevan Lee housing scheme in Cannock.

The scheme, which cost almost £15 million, has seen the demolition of 108 sub-standard homes which have been replaced with 128 new properties, including 20 for shared ownership.

The event, which took place earlier this month, saw speeches from representatives of partners involved in the project and the unveiling of a sign for the new community centre, before guests were taken on a tour around the development and given the opportunity to view the new shared ownership accommodation.

The stylish two and three bed properties are available to purchase under the New Build HomeBuy scheme – allowing buyers to purchase a share of a property in partnership with Sanctuary from as little as £27,500.

The homes are all built to a high specification with features including block paved driveways, double glazing, generous rear gardens with shed and patio, and gas central heating. All of the properties are also energy efficient, meaning they are cheaper to run and environmentally friendly.

Local people can purchase a share of between 25% and 75% of one of these luxurious homes, usually through a mortgage, and pay rent on the remaining share – offering the perfect opportunity for applicants to gain a foot on the property ladder and own a home of their own.

To find out more about these properties, the New Build HomeBuy scheme, or to arrange a viewing of our show home please contact Gill McGovern on 01782 203569 or email gill.mcgovern@sanctuary-housing.co.uk
