The Tenant Participation Advisory Service (TPAS) has recently launched a self assessment and accreditation quality standard for housing associations to measure their performance on resident engagement.
The process has been fully endorsed by a number of organisations including:
- The Housing Corporation
- The Audit Commission
- The ODPM
- The National Housing Federation
- The Chartered Institute of Housing
- Tenants and Residents Organisation of England
- TPAS Tenants Sounding Board

Sanctuary Housing Group is keen to be involved in this initiative and will be working to achieve resident involvement quality accreditation over the next six months.
Once we have carried out our self assessment, TPAS will be talking to tenants to validate our findings.
Sanctuary is also currently undertaking a National Comprehensive Service Review on resident engagement and seeking accreditation will form an important part of this project.
