Charter's managers get their hands dirty!

Managers of Charter Community Housing, a subsidiary of leading UK housing provider Sanctuary Group, rolled up their sleeves to pick litter at two of the Association’s sheltered schemes in Banbury.
Managing Director Harj Lota (right) with colleagues proved they weren’t afraid to get their hands dirty by swapping their suits for overalls and marigolds.

The managers proved they weren’t afraid to get their hands dirty by swapping their suits for overalls and marigolds during last week’s two-day litter pick at The Causeway and St Leonards Close.

The events, which were part of National Customer Service Week, were a huge success and over 30 bags of litter and plant clippings were collected.

It also gave residents the chance to meet the management team and ask any questions they had.

Charter’s managing director, Harj Lota said: “It was great to get out and meet our residents and help make improvements to their surroundings. They really appreciated our hard work.”

Financial services manager Darrell Locke added: “I don’t often get a chance to get out of the office and meet residents, so for me this was a great opportunity.”

Jo Cox, HR manager, said: “It was a really worthwhile experience and one that needs to be repeated.”
