Cricket fun - Sanctuary v Worcestershire County Council

Cricket fun

Staff from Worcester-based Sanctuary Group took to the field on Wednesday, 27th May, for a cricket match against employees from Worcestershire County Council.

The game saw 13 staff members from the Group batting and bowling for glory at the home of Cutnall Green Cricket Club in a 20-over encounter.

Batting first, the Council posted 151-5 from their 20 overs, setting Sanctuary a total of 152 for victory. In response, Sanctuary were unable to find a foothold at the crease and were eventually dismissed for 76, handing victory to the Council by 75 runs.

The game represented the perfect opportunity for Sanctuary employees to meet and network with business partners in a relaxed environment, and the Group is looking to take part in similar events with more local companies in the future.
