Residents from Sheffield’s Hyde Park estate recently visited a Sanctuary Housing Association show home to see what improvements could be made if they vote to transfer to Sanctuary.
The group of residents from Hyde Park Walk and Terrace accepted an open invitation from Sanctuary to tour the Shiregreen estate home and see work that would be carried out on their homes.
They also met residents from Shiregreen whose homes are currently being improved by Sanctuary. In November last year, Sheffield City Council balloted 2,600 tenants from the estate and 71 per cent of them turned out to vote. 86 per cent of voters were in favour of transfer and Sanctuary began a £91 million regeneration project of the area soon after.
