Bernadette Bird has been appointed as Sanctuary’s new Group HR Manager. She is in her first full week in the role, heading up a team of 51 staff at Sanctuary’s Worcester based head office.
As Group HR Manager, Bernadette will be responsible for making sure that the HR service supports the needs of the business at all times. Her role involves ensuring the smooth running of payroll, reviewing opportunities and continuing to develop an efficient and high quality HR Direct service.
Bernadette, who was until recently senior HR business partner, first came to Sanctuary as HR officer in 2003.
She said: “With the rapid expansion of the Group, it will be my priority to assess and continually evaluate the HR systems and support we provide across the organisation. This will ensure that we consistently meet the needs of our valuable and diverse workforce, while also providing HR tools that assist the achievement of the Group’s business objectives.”
Sanctuary Housing Group employs almost 5,000 people based at its network of area offices with more than 270 staff at its head office.
