New Head of Internal Audit for Sanctuary Group
 
Joanne McFadyen

Worcester-based Sanctuary Group, one of the UK’s leading housing providers, has expanded its Internal Audit department with the appointment of Joanna McFadyen.

Joanna has been employed to the role of Group Head of Internal Audit and will have prime responsibility for reviewing the effectiveness of the organisation’s systems of internal control and ensuring the highest standards are maintained across the Group.

Reporting to the Group Chief Executive, David Bennett, Joanna’s position will involve the strategic planning, management and development of Sanctuary’s internal audit service to ensure business risks are managed successfully and the organisation continues to meet its stated objectives.

Joanna, a Chartered Accountant, will head up a team of seven staff and joins Sanctuary from Alliance and Leicester PLC where she was Audit Project Manager.

She said: “I am excited about the opportunity to bring my knowledge and expertise to the company to ensure cooperative objectives continue to be met and the Group’s resources are used efficiently and effectively.”
