Sanctuary shows support for young people
A national charity has received funding from Sanctuary North for helping provide information on safety education to young people.

Sanctuary North, a member of Sanctuary Group, has contributed £1,500 for the purchase of 500 educational books from the Children’s Safety Education Foundation (CSEF) which will be distributed to youngsters across schools from Hull.
Sanctuary presented the books to Hull City Council’s Ashwell Pupil Referral Unit on Monday, 13th October, which will now distribute them to schools across the city.

The books, titled ‘respect, your life, your choice’ and published by the CSEF, provide vital information to young people between the ages of 11 and 16 on a number of issues including bullying, drugs and alcohol. The books also help improve children’s awareness of everyday dangers such as roads, fire and water.

Sanctuary presented the books to Hull City Council’s Ashwell Pupil Referral Unit on Monday, 13th October, which will now distribute them to schools across the city.

Sanctuary resident Carey Vessey said: “As a tenant of Sanctuary I am proud that the Association tries to play a part in making life better for young people in Hull.

“I am sure these books will give good ideas and suggestions.”
