Residents at Ashley House in Bordon were last week treated to a pantomime version of the Wizard of Oz courtesy of staff at the home.
Every year, staff at the residential care home present a pantomime in a fun-filled day. This year’s performance on Wednesday 13th December was watched by residents and their families, Sanctuary managers and local GPs and district nurses. Residents from learning disability homes at Petersfield and Lee-on-the-Solent also saw the show.
Ashley House’s manager Margaret Powell wrote and directed the panto and, along with her colleagues, has been rehearsing since September, often after working eight-hour shifts.
Margaret said: “Although it’s been tiring, it’s been so much fun. It’s so nice for residents and their families to see staff in a different role and this year was an excellent performance once again.”
