Sanctuary Care was established in 1995 to provide older people with high quality nursing and residential care. A significant development was the acquisition of Ashley Homes, part of Epsom-based Shaftesbury Housing Association.
Sanctuary has purchased many care homes in the south east and east of England.
The homes cater for older people and those with learning or physical disabilities. They also include supported housing and extra care.

All Sanctuary Care's surplus income is reinvested into the business which allows us to provide residents with excellent standards of care from well managed and well maintained homes. This also allows us to invest in high levels of training for our staff.
Sanctuary Care is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sanctuary Housing Association.
