People living with Dementia
In our units for people living with dementia, we focus on the need to support the person living with dementia by paying attention to their emotional well-being. We achieve this by ensuring that along with personal care planning and life history, short term aims are set enabling longer term objectives to become achievable. We work closely with the Alzheimer’s society, the older peoples mental health team and the Redbridge Resource Centre for people living with dementia.
Residents' Involvement
The resident’s are encouraged to be open and frank at all times and any issues are addressed immediately ensuring that all resident’s views and ideas are valued. In addition, monthly resident’s meetings take place within the Home where resident’s set the agenda. Families and friends participate fully in the life of the home and there is open dialogue between families and the Home. Visitors to Chadwell House are welcome at any time.
