Exning court is part of the Very Sheltered Housing Scheme. This is ideal for people who need a higher level of support than can be offered in sheltered housing but for whom residential care would not offer enough independence. You have the usual rights of being a tennant and are able to live independently but still be part of a small community.
Exning Court could be suitable for you if you are:
- Aged 60 or over
- In need of assistance with personal care, as assessed by Adult care and Community Services
- Are currently a resident in the area
- Live elsewhere but have a strong social reason to move, for example moving to be near your family
Facilities
Exning Court has 34 self contained flats, 26 one bedroom and 8 two bedroom. Each flat has its own front door, bedroom, lounge, kitchen - including fridge freezer, cooker and microwave, and shower room. Each flat has a pull cord emergency intercom alarm system. Tennants provide their own furniture.
Communal facilities at Exning Court include, large centrally located lounge and dining area, laundry rooms with washing amchines and tumble dryers, guest room that can be booked for visiting relatives and friends and a lift to allow easy access to first floor.
Staffing
Staff are on site 24 hours a day to provide care and support according to your individual needs.
Staffing levels meet all the requirements set by the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI).
