Extra Care homes are for older people from aged 55 upwards. Residents have their own individual flats consisting of lounge, bedroom kitchen and bathroom which they are able to furnish on their own.
They are able to live independently with the support and assistance of staff who are on duty 24 hours per day. Staff are able to assist with laundry, visits to GP, shopping etc. Residents are allocated a key worker who looks after their individual needs and security. Activities are arranged by the in-house activities co-ordinator.
