Forest Dene is a residential care home for 36 older people. The building comprises of three floors with several lounges, a communal dining room with French doors leading out onto a balcony area.
The home aims to provide the highest standard of accommodation and professional support to enable residents to maintain their independence for as long as possible.

Facilities
The home comprises of 40 bedrooms, 32 of which are single and 4 shared bedrooms, they do not have any en suites but toilets are accessible on each floor.
Bedrooms are furnished throughout with carpets and curtains, and can be personalised.
All areas in the home have a call alarm system.
Activities
Social events are carried out on a daily basis and the home has access to a minibus. Events are attended at choice of residents
Personal Care
There is 24hours care and support provided by a professional team who are trained and inducted following the TOPPS foundation programme and NVQ.
Keyworkers are available to support residents who need assistance and specialist equipment such as hoist and adapted baths, if required.
A hairdresser visits the home weekly but residents do have the opportunity to visit outside hair salons.
Chiropodist/general practitioners/dentist and all other national health services do visit the home throughout the year.
Residents' Involvement
Residents chair their own monthly meetings and annual meetings with relatives and friends are also held. Residents complete a monthly questionnaire regarding the quality of service they receive from both care staff and CaterPlus.
Feedback and action is then fed back at meetings.
Staffing
All Sanctuary Care Homes are staffed 24 hours a day by suitably trained and experiences nursing and care staff.
All homes employ a head chef and experienced catering and domestic staff.
Staffing levels meet all the requirements set by the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI).
