Hatfield Nursing Home is a modern, purpose-built, state-of-the-art home providing residential nursing care in a pleasant, homely atmosphere. We’re situated in the prestigious Comet Square, a new redevelopment of the Hatfield Aerodrome. Within close proximity is the prestigious De Havill and leisure facilities and a shopping centre.

Facilities
When residents feel like a little companionship, they can join other residents in the lounge areas to watch TV, listen to music or simply enjoy each other’s company.
If they are looking for privacy, they can choose to sit quietly in our ‘quiet lounge’ and read a book, stroll around the garden or just relax in their room. You can rest assured that all our residents have complete freedom of choice about how they want to live.
We accommodate people from all faiths, religious preferences and ethnic backgrounds.
Personal Care
In addition to round-the-clock care and support, residents have the services of GP along with regular visits from a chiropodist, dentist and optician.
We offer a different choice of menu each day with nutritionally balanced, appetising meals. Freshly baked cakes are just one of our daily specialities, along with fresh fruit and vegetables, which are always available.
Specific diets are catered for and special occasions are celebrated in ways that our residents expect and appreciate. Many find that meal times are an enjoyable experience when shared in the company of others but there is also the option to dine in their own rooms.
Residents' Involvement
We believe that personal choice is important, which is why we always try to involve residents in the decisions that affect them. Each resident has an individual care plan which we draw up after talking with you, your family or your advisors. Care plans cover the medical, social and emotional needs of our residents and are regularly reviewed.
Activities
There are large gardens where residents can sit and chat. For our dementia residents there is also a dedicated private sensory garden to enjoy. We also have a full time activities coordinator and assistants who organise a range of activities from quizzes to theatre outings. Family and friends are always welcome to visit us and join in our activities including barbeques in the summer time, and a variety of excursions. We have open visiting hours! Transport links are excellent and the home has its own visitors car park.
Staffing
All Sanctuary Care Homes are staffed 24 hours a day by suitably trained and experiences nursing and care staff.
All homes employ a head chef and experienced catering and domestic staff.
Staffing levels meet all the requirements set by the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI).
