John Pounds House is a 16 bedded residential home for frail older people. The building has 3 floors which includes the ground floor. We have a lovely garden which is used during the summer to host our bar-b-q and summer parties. We also have a communal lounge on each floor and a main dining area for all 16 residents to have their meals.
Facilities
We offer an en-suite facility which includes wardrobe, lockable cupboard, chair, single bed and table. Our aim is to provide the best possible service and enhance the lives of our service users in doing so.
Activities
Activities are carried out on a daily basis and include games, gentle exercise, pub lunches, and trips to Buckingham Palace , London Zoo, and London Aquarium. Staffing levels meet all requirements and extra staff is booked when necessary.
Personal Care
Personal Care is done in a manner that upholds the service users’ privacy and dignity. It is also carried out in the privacy of their own room and if they so choose a parker bath is on each floor. Residents are involved in the interviewing of new staff, preparing for events put on within the home. They are also involved in planning their agenda’s for their monthly meetings.
