Caton House, a Sanctuary Care home in Bletchley, Milton Keynes, is delighted to announce it will now be providing specialist dementia care.

Following an inspection by The Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI), the inspectorate for adult social care services in England the home, which previously provided nursing, residential and respite care, has been granted permission to provide specialist dementia care.

The change in registration follows months of hard work by manager Donna Stewart and her team of staff, who have undertaken specialist dementia training.

Donna said: "I'm very proud of my team of staff, the way they have taken on board the dementia care training means we will be able to offer the highest standard of care in this specialist area to our residents.”

By providing such specialist care, residents at the home who develop dementia will now be able to continue living there, rather than facing the disruption of moving to another home. It also means that the home can accept new residents with dementia, helping to meet the growing demand for dementia care in the Milton Keynes area.
