Shaftesbury Court, Rectory Road is a residential care home registered by CSCI for 15 adults who have physical disabilities.
The home aims to provide a high standard of support, enabling individuals to improve their life skills and maintain as much independence as possible.
Facilities
The home comprises of 15 single bedrooms with an “en-suite” toilet / wash basin. The bedrooms are fully furnished, although residents are encouraged to bring their own things if they want to personalise their rooms.
Full catering services are provided. Lunches are prepared from the main kitchen, with two kitchen / dining rooms for residents to use at other times, with a main central lounge joining the three bedroom areas.
Staffing
24hr support is provided, with input available from external professionals where appropriate. All rooms have a call system to enable residents to call for assistance when required.
Personal care
Staff are available to support residents who require assistance. Residents are encouraged to be as independent as possible, using local resources where appropriate. Where this is not possible, we will engage the services from the community.
Residents' Involvement
Residents have their own meetings and are encouraged to take an active role. Views are also sought through questionnaires relating to various issues. All residents have keyworkers to enable communication and individual planning to be carried out.
