Facilities
Our lounge areas are stylishly decorated and the home incorporates all the features needed to ensure a comfortable environment for older people. The ground floor, Grove Suite, has 20 bedrooms specifically for dementia care residents with dedicated sensory gardens, and is decorated using contrasting colour schemes that help them easily identify different rooms and areas. The first floor, Charlton Suite, has a further 30 bedrooms for the frail elderly requiring general nursing care.
There are large gardens and terraced areas where residents can sit and chat with friends or enjoy barbecues in the summertime.
Personal Care
In addition to round-the-clock care and support, residents have the services of a GP along with regular visits from a chiropodist, dentist and optician.
Resident Involvement
We believe that personal choice is important, which is why we always try to involve residents in the decisions that affect them. Each resident has an individual care plan which we draw up after talking with you, your family or your advisors. Care plans cover the medical, social and emotional needs of our residents and are regularly reviewed.
Activities
There are large gardens and terraced areas where residents can sit and chat with friends or enjoy barbecues in the summertime. We also offer a range of activities from pub lunches to theatre outings.
Family and friends can visit us at any time and can join in our activities and excursions. Transport links are excellent and the home has its own minibus and visitors car park.
Staffing
All Sanctuary Care Homes are staffed 24 hours a day by suitably trained and experiences nursing and care staff.
All homes employ a head chef and experienced catering and domestic staff.
Staffing levels meet all the requirements set by the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI).
