CBL is a method of letting social housing, which is being introduced across the Cambridge sub-region. The government would like all local authorities and housing associations to have a CBL scheme in place by 2010. The government is also encouraging local authorities to establish sub-regional schemes which cross local authority boundaries.

It is anticipated that the scheme will start from January 2008.
