You can pay your rent in any of the following ways:
- Standing Order
10 monthly payments by Standing Order from a bank or building society account. Weekly payments can also be arranged as long as your bank will process it.
- Post Office
All Post Offices will accept Hereward’s rents but you must have your swipe card or an old post office rent payment receipt with you. Please make cheques payable to ‘Post Office Limited’.
- At shops displaying PayPoint or PayZone signs
You will need your rent payment card
- Phone
You can make a payment by phoning us on 08702 436 050 (automated service available 24 hours daily) or 08702 402 953 to speak to someone (9am to 5:30pm weekdays only). You will need to know how much you want to pay, your bank card and your rent payment card to hand.
- Post
Send your payment by cheque (crossed and made payable to ‘Hereward Housing Association’) to the Ely office. Please ensure your address and pay reference are written on the back of your cheque.
Never send cash or bank cards through the post.
- Online
The system accepts VISA, Switch and most other bank cards. You will also need to have your grey Hereward Housing payment card ready to enter the main number which begins 9826……
For your own security, if you are in a public place, we recommend that you make sure nobody can see the details you enter.
If you do not have a Sanctuary Hereward payment card please contact us on 0845 8505757 to order one or email enquiries-hereward@sanctuary-housing.co.uk requesting a card, providing your name and address.
Rents are due weekly, except the six weeks each year when rent is not collected - currently four weeks in April and two at Christmas.
