Sanctuary Hereward are committed to making your voice count and involving our residents in the way we provide our housing services to you.
There are a number of different ways in which you can get involved with Sanctuary Hereward at a regional level:
Residents who monitor and influence the performance of our housing services within the East region.
A focus group of residents who meet to take part in a facilitated discussion on a particular issue affecting residents.
A group of elected representatives from all of the sheltered housing Scheme Manager areas (currently running in Cambridgeshire and soon due to expand) who meet on a regular basis to put forward ideas and discuss the way we provide our sheltered housing service.
Residents who work with us (in a number of different ways) to improve the way we carry out our repairs and reinvestment services.
Tenant Inspectors are residents who work with us to give a residents’ perspective of the services we provide. Tenant Inspectors take part in a planned programme of visits to carry out interviews with other residents, discussions and observations in various housing areas.
An informal group of residents who work with us on producing the residents’ newsletter and other promotional materials to make sure we are communicating well with residents.
- Resident Associations / Groups
We support residents who want to set up a residents’ group with advice, funding, training and other guidance as required.
And there are other opportunities to get involved with Sanctuary Group at a national level:
- National Residents’ Forum
Made up of residents from all parts of the country who represent the different areas in which Sanctuary Group provides and manages housing. The Forum works with Sanctuary Group on policies and national initiatives which affect the way we provide our housing services.
Residents who work with Sanctuary Head Office to give feedback on the way housing services are provided around the country.
We will pay all reasonable travel and care expenses and provide full training for all the ways you can get involved.
