Jonathan Green, Head of Asset Management and Maintenance, said: “For some, such as the painting programme and replacement of external doors, residents will get a choice from the range chosen by the Tenant Forum. The kitchen replacements will also have a range of different types of units, worktop and flooring to choose from, again from a range picked by the Tenants Forum. With replacement kitchens we will work with residents on an individual basis to try and give them the best layout for the kitchen.”
The programme shows that Hereward anticipates carrying out external decorating at 680 properties, installing 90 new kitchens and fitting 115 external doors. Hereward will not carry out any work in their programme if residents do not want it done. The work will be done at properties in many areas where Hereward has properties including Ely, Littleport, Swaffham Bulbeck and Wilburton. But not all properties in the various areas will have work done to them.
Mr Green said: “In the next few months only residents whose property has been identified for work will receive a letter from us. But to help us with forthcoming surveys we have included a questionnaire for all residents to fill out and help us identify future work. If anyone has any questions they should contact the Customer Service Centre on 0845 850 57 57.”
