For the last three years, Sanctuary has been undertaking a comprehensive programme to install cavity wall insulation to homes that were previously without it. Sanctuary is also carrying out roof insulation work to match current Building Regulation standards across all our stock.

The majority of the cost of carrying out this work has been covered by grants from npower.

Thanks in part to this insulation programme, Sanctuary Housing Association’s Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) rating has increased from 59 in 2003–2004 (using SAP 1998 old version software) to 67 in 2005–2006 (using latest version SAP 2001 software).
