How do I get a resident’s parking permit?

Our staff will check if there are any old permits outstanding, how many permits have already been issued to the property and whether the rent account is clear. If there are arrears they will check that they have been reducing regularly over the previous 6 weeks.

Our staff will also check the validity of the vehicle's MOT if it requires one, the insurance certificate and expiry date of the road fund licence (tax disc).

The complete, A3 size Log Book (V5/Vehicle registration document) must be registered in the tenant's name, showing the current Sanctuary address where they live. Tenants who have recently purchased a new car must wait for the car to be registered at their address by DVLA, and the new V5 returned to them, before a permit will be issued.'

Once these have been verified we will issue a resident’s parking permit. The permit is only issued up to the expiry date of the current MOT.

If the car is too new to need an MOT, the permit will be issued up to the date that the vehicle’s insurance or road fund licence is due to expire.

My door entry fob has broken in half, what do I do now?

Residents can return their broken fob to the Well Street office and staff will return it to the manufacturer for replacement. Residents can either purchase a new fob or wait for the replacement one to be returned.
