Crackdown on Anti-Social Behaviour

Anti-social behaviour, nuisance and harassment are a major concern for both residents and Sanctuary and are issues that are dealt with very seriously. In London we have two dedicated officers specialising in dealing with cases of anti-social behaviour.

Akin Adejumo is responsible for Hackney and David Rankin is responsible for the rest of London. They have dealt with a range of cases such as racial harassment, noise nuisance, homophobic harassment, vandalism, youths loitering, drug dealing, neighbour disputes, graffiti, community conflict and problem pets.

Dedicated officers will ensure that anti-social behaviour and neighbour harrassment are dealt with severely

These cases have been resolved using tools such as independent mediation, police surgeries, good neighbour declaration, warnings, acceptable behaviour contracts, injunctions, anti-social behaviour orders, CCTV, professional witnesses and evictions.

Occasionally vulnerable residents are targeted and exploited by individuals who want to use their property to perpetrate anti-social behaviour and criminal activities. Please be a good neighbour and report any concerns about vulnerable residents to your Estate and Tenancy Officer.
