I have lost my rent card, how can I pay my rent?
A new rent card will be ordered and will take about 2 weeks. In the meantime you can pay by cash or cheque at the office, use a card or we can provide a Direct Debit or Standing Order form for you to complete with your bank details.

Housing Benefit have asked for proof of how much my rent is. What do I need to do?
You can either visit the office or telephone and we will give or send you a proof of rent form. We will check the details on our computer system and provide you with a pro-forma letter, a copy of the last rent increase letter, and a print-out of your rent statement which verifies the name on the rent account and the date the tenancy started.

When served with a Notice of Seeking Possession, does this mean I will lose my home?
A Notice of Seeking Possession is the first stage of legal proceedings, and does not mean you will immediately lose your home. You are given an opportunity to make an agreement to clear the arrears on your account.

Does having arrears affect my position for a transfer?
Yes, we will not usually make you an offer of alternative accommodation unless you agree to clear your arrears before your new tenancy starts. However, you should still apply for a transfer so that your individual circumstances can be assessed and you can join the waiting list. In the meantime you should contact us to make a repayment agreement.
