Glasgow Student Villages 5th Anniversary

Sanctuary Management Services is pleased to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the management of 2,598 bedded units of student accommodation based in Glasgow.

On 21 May 2002 a new company, known as Glasgow Student Village (GSV), was officially established as a unique wholly owned subsidiary of Sanctuary Housing Association.

Sanctuary Management Services is pleased to celebrate the 5th Anniversary of the student accommodation based in Glasgow.

GSV are the owners of three sites in Glasgow comprising Kelvinhaugh Residences, Murano Street Student Villages and Queen Margaret Residences where Sanctuary Management Services manage all facilities on their behalf in partnership with the University of Glasgow.

GSV is governed by a board of directors with members from Glasgow University, the Bank of Scotland/Halifax and Craig Moule, Tony King, Richard Woolley and Gordon Laurie from Sanctuary Housing Group.

Sanctuary Management Services is consistently delivering a high quality service and implementing new initiatives including the introduction of an Elecronic Quality Monitoring System which will allow site operatives to record and monitor the quality and standards of the facilities on offer to the students.

Under its management, the GSV propoerties have benefited from £3.8m of catch-up refurbishment which includes new furniture, fixtures and fittings, improving the overall standard of accommodation on offer to the students. Further works of approximately £1m are planned for this summer to continue the ongoing commitments to quality development and our planned works will continue throughout the term of our 32 year agreement.
