About us

Sanctuary Scotland Housing Association was established in 1996 and was registered with Scottish Homes, now Communities Scotland, in 1998.

The Association is a subsidiary of Sanctuary Housing Association, one of the largest and most successful housing associations in the country.

Sanctuary Scotland - benchmarking standards in social housing, with a growing reputation for excellence.

Both an Industrial and Provident Society and a recognised Scottish charity, the Association’s main activities are focused on the Greater Pollok and Anderston areas of Glasgow where a variety of housing for rent is provided, and the Ardler estate in Dundee, which is subject to an extensive regeneration project due to be completed by 2007.

A number of supported housing projects for tenants with a range of needs are also provided in Glasgow and surrounding areas, with the Association now operating in seven local authority areas in Scotland and owning just over 2,000 homes.

A voluntary management committee comprising tenants of the Association and interested individuals from the housing, academic, business, and community/voluntary sectors in Scotland runs the Association. The management committee, which meets at least six times each year, is responsible for agreeing the Association's policies and for its strategic direction and priorities.
