National Scotland in Bloom - Ardler wins again!

Ardler has once again won first place at the National Scotland in Bloom awards under the competitions regeneration category. Members of the Ardler in Bloom team were presented with the award at a ceremony in Dunfermline held on 13th September.

This follows a year of hard work by all the partners in Ardler in Bloom including the Ardler Environment Group, local schools (St Fergus, Brackens and Ardler), Urban Ranger, Ardler Village Trust, Dundee City Council, Sanctuary Scotland Housing Association and Ardler Complex. The competition does not just focus on flowers and plants but looks at broader environmental issues like litter, vandalism, safety and sustainability.

1st place prize in the regeneration category for Ardler at
the National Scotland in Bloom awards

Sanctuary Scotland ’s local garden competition played an important part in Ardler regaining the award as it encourages pride in our residents’ front gardens. With Dundee hosting next years national prize giving ceremony the group hope to encourage more gardeners to take part and make Ardler Bloom again.
