Residents from Chester and District Housing Trust (CDHT) took to the dance floor to celebrate cultural diversity within their communities.
What happened at the 180 minutes around the world event?
Members of CDHT’s Group Of older people living in Sheltered Housing (GOSH Enterprises) tangoed with the assistance of Strictly Come Dancing tribute act Havana Nights to celebrate the sultry Latin American culture.
Other activities at the GOSH initiative
There was also a bazaar showcasing foods from around the world at this fun three hour event, which included crafts and prizes. The initiative was held at St.Werburgh’s Parish Centre, Brook Street, Chester.
Organiser Nina Harris, of GOSH Enterprises, said: “A big thank you to everyone who supported this event, which is part of our tackling loneliness agenda. Within three hours we brought together the tastes, music and the cultural theme of community awareness and sharing. As a group, by planning and producing events together we continue to grow in stature and aspirations, learning from each other.”
