Sanctuary Group has been shortlisted for seven regional awards for excellence in building standards.
The leading housing provider has been nominated in the best new housing development of the North West Regional Local Authority Building Control Excellence Awards for two developments; 36 retirement living apartments for the over 55s at Trinity Gardens in Blacon, and the Group’s mixed use development of 18 homes at Lodge Lane in Saughall.
In addition, Sanctuary’s general needs housing development of 26 homes at The Parade is shortlisted for best social or affordable housing development, as is the Group’s £6.5 million 58-bed retirement living scheme at Darcy Court in Port Sunlight.
Further recognition for local developments includes the Group’s £15 million regeneration initiative at the Parade Enterprise Centre in Blacon, in partnership with Cheshire West & Chester Council and the European Regional Development Fund, which has also been shortlisted for three Awards; best public service, best commercial and best inclusive building.
Danielle Wrigley, Sanctuary’s development manager in Chester, said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted for these awards which is testament to both the quality and range of affordable housing developments we have constructed across the North West for local people.”
Zoe Landau, marketing coordinator for the LABC, added: “The LABC Building Excellence Awards highlight innovative and creative solutions and building control professionalism that leads to safe, sustainable and high quality construction projects.”
The Awards will be announced in April at a ceremony in Bolton with winners going forward into the national LABC Awards in London in November.
