Children will be able to enjoy fantastic new facilities at two play areas in Blacon which have been refurbished in time for the warmer weather.

New play facilities in Blacon supported by Avenue Services

New swings and benches have been added to the play areas at Treborth Road and Meynell Place and new floor art designed by local children will be added to brighten up the facilities.

Celebration of improvement works

A celebration of the works, which have been funded by Avenue Services, the Neighbourhood Plan for Blacon, New Homes Bonus, Cheshire West and Chester Council and the Elected Members budget, will take place on Thursday March 26 at the Treborth Road play area, from 3.30 to 4.30pm.

Blacon Cllr Reggie Jones said: “Treborth Road is a very safe and attractive place to live and to play and I believe the added investment in new benches provides the opportunity for mums and dads to meet, mix, relax and watch their children enjoy playing together and making new friends in a fantastic play area. This is great news for residents, all of whom are welcome to attend the celebration.”

What Avenue Services strives for
