The festive feeling was in the air as more than 500 people enjoyed a seasonal celebration at the Avenue Services Christmas Fair.

Held at the Parade Enterprise Centre in Blacon, the free event featured more than 15 stalls selling toys, gifts and crafts, offering the perfect opportunity for some early Christmas shopping.

Visitors tucked into an array of tempting treats served up by members of Blacon Butterflies Women’s Institute, while Father Christmas took time out of his busy schedule to meet local children and deliver some early presents.

Paul Knight, Head of Avenue Services, said: “There was a truly festive feeling at the fair and it was wonderful to see so many smiling faces and people of all ages coming together and enjoying the occasion.

“We had a great time hosting the event and we’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who attended and helped make it such a big success.”

Avenue Services, which is a not-for-profit organisation, is a joint venture between Sanctuary Group and Cheshire West and Chester Council.
