Hundreds of people enjoyed a traditional Sunday fun day when Orchard Baptist Church brought the East Bicester community together.
Thanks to funding from Sanctuary Housing and Bicester Town Council, around 500 visitors flocked to the Keble Road playing field to take part in a host of entertaining family activities.
Residents enjoyed fairground games, crafts, and bingo, as well as free drinks, cakes, candy floss and hot dogs. Children were treated to bouncy castles, slides and face painting.
Steve Barber, minister of organiser Orchard Baptist Church, said: “The fun day is such a great way to put something really positive into the community and see so many, young and alike, enjoying all the activities, and the food!”
Sanctuary’s neighbourhood partnerships manager, Kate Winstanley, added: “The fun day is a much anticipated event in the community and I am so pleased it is still just as popular.
“We are happy to work in partnership with community led organisations such as the Orchard Baptist Church, to deliver engaging activities for our neighbourhoods.”
This event was part funded by Sanctuary Group’s Community Investment Fund, supporting projects which benefit Sanctuary residents and their communities.
