Free first aid training for families in Noel Park

Lifesaving first aid training for babies and children has been provided for free to parents and carers living in the Noel Park area.

Provided by Family First Aiders and funded and supported by Sanctuary Housing, the training raised awareness and provided the skills needed to keep families safe.

What was covered in the first aid training?

The friendly and jargon free workshops covered common childhood emergency scenarios including choking, poisons, bleeding and burns, seizures and more.

“First aid courses accessible to all parents”

Emily Wood, from Family First Aiders, commented: “It is our aim to make baby first aid courses accessible to all parents. Working with Sanctuary Housing has really helped us to reach out to the local community and we have had such great feedback from the families so far.

“We really hope this is something we can continue to get support and funding for and are sure it will help save and improve the lives of children and families.”

These events were funded by Sanctuary Group’s Community Investment Fund, supporting projects which benefit Sanctuary residents and their communities.
