Funding is available for projects that will make a difference to the lives of Chester residents and the communities where they live.
Sanctuary Housing’s Chester Community Chest is now open for applications from charities and community groups who would benefit from grants of up to £1,000 to help deliver projects and activities.
Projects must reach Sanctuary residents and successful applications will fit one or more of Sanctuary’s priorities for the fund:
- Growing neighbourhood pride and community safety
- Increasing skills and employability
- Helping residents better manage their money
- Sustainable lifestyles and greener living
- Building connections and reducing isolation
Sanctuary is keen to receive applications from community and resident groups, individuals, registered charities, councils, schools or social enterprises.
The Chester Community Chest has previously supported a diverse array of projects, including a new community laundry room for residents in Lache and the provision of a life-saving automated external defibrillator (AED) for the rural village of Malpas.
Michele Payne, Sanctuary’s neighbourhood partnerships manager, said: “The Chester Community Chest is a great opportunity for us to support projects that have a positive impact and help our residents live happy, healthy and fulfilled lives.
“We look forward to hearing from groups and individuals in Chester who can help us to make a real difference.”
