Children and families enjoyed some frightfully good fun when we held a Halloween event at our Lache Growing Space in Chester.

More than 50 children attended the free event, where they carved spooky pumpkins, got ghostly glitter tattoos and tucked into tasty refreshments.

Libbie Stock, our youth co-ordinator, said: “Everyone had a great time and it was wonderful to see so many local families coming together and enjoying themselves.

“We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who attended or supported the event for making it a big success.”

The event was also supported by the Welcome Network, Friends of Lache, Cheshire West and Chester Council, Lache Children’s Centre, Chester Zoo and volunteers from Lache Youth Café.

Lache Growing Space is one of four community allotment sites we provide in Chester for residents to enjoy spending time outdoors and growing fruit and veg.
