Health and well-being on the agenda for Rochford and Rayleigh residents

29 July 2016
community picnics in Rochford and Rayleigh

Rochford and Rayleigh residents are invited to enhance health and wellbeing through a series of community picnics, from Motivated Minds and Rochford Housing.

Free events

The free events for residents living in Rochford and Rayleigh take place weekly on Tuesdays until 23 August, with each picnic focusing on a different theme, including healthy minds, drug and alcohol awareness and nutrition and hydration. Although the picnics are open to residents of all ages, Motivated Minds is particularly looking to reach out to local teenagers and young people.

Tasty lunch

Attendees will also have the opportunity to tuck into a tasty, free lunch, relax and meet their neighbours.

“Enhancing wellbeing”

Chris Silvey, resident involvement officer for Rochford Housing, said: “The community picnics from Motivated Minds are providing residents with a great opportunity to socialise with friends and neighbours, and pick up some tips about enhancing their wellbeing at the same time. Come along and join in the fun!”

“Lifelong wellbeing”

Carla Andrews from Motivated Minds commented: “Here at Motivated Minds, we specialise in lifelong wellbeing and performance development, and Rochford Housing’s generous donation has allowed us to spread our philosophy even further around the area.”

Come along

Residents can just turn up to any of the community picnics they are interested in, which will all take place on green spaces around Rochford and Rayleigh. For more information, contact Carla Andrews from Motivated Minds on 01268 450565 or by email info@motivated-minds.co.uk.
