Learn how to live wise and age well in Shiregreen

Women discussing healthy living in Shiregreen

Shiregreen residents aged 50 and over who would like to learn more about making healthy choices as they get older are invited to a free course.

Live Wise, Age Well

Supported by Sanctuary Housing, the Live Wise, Age Well project – led by staff from Drink Wise Age Well – will take place at Shiregreen Neighbourhood Centre every Thursday for six weeks from 20 September, running from 2 until 4pm.

Different themes

Each meeting will be focused on a different theme, including adjusting to changes that come with age and maintaining a healthy body and mind.

“A great opportunity for us to offer support”

Melanie King, neighbourhood partnerships manager for Sanctuary, said: “We all go through life changes as we get older, whether that’s retirement, children leaving home or becoming a carer.

“This is a great opportunity for us to offer support to residents aged 50 and over in Shiregreen.”

Book a place

To book one of the limited places on the course, call Drink Wise Age Well on 0800 032 3723.

This project is funded by Sanctuary’s Community Investment Fund, supporting projects which benefit Sanctuary residents and their communities.
