Jobseekers in Blacon are being urged to attend a jobs fair where they can meet employers and training providers, as well as getting advice and support to help them get back to work.
Sanctuary Housing is supporting the Job Fair at the Parade Enterprise Centre
The fair, which is being supported by Sanctuary Housing, is being held this Thursday (22 October) from 10am to 2pm at the Enterprise Centre, The Parade, in Blacon.
What will be on offer at the Job Fair?
There will be advice about updating CVs, accessing benefits, searching for and applying for jobs online and finding training courses. There will also be information about work placements, apprenticeships and volunteering opportunities.
Courses on offer to improve job prospects with the Pathways team
Courses on offer to jobseekers through the Pathways team range from interview skills and confidence coaching, through to vocational qualifications such as English and Maths NVQ Level 2.
The Pathways team delivers job clubs, workshops and courses
Working in partnership with Sanctuary Housing, Avenue Services and a number of other agencies and partners including Cheshire West and Chester Employment Mentors, the National Careers Service, Job Centre Plus and Cheshire Community Development Trust, the Pathways team delivers job clubs, workshops and courses.

Blacon Job Club is held every Monday and Friday from 9.30am to 4pm (excluding bank holidays) at the Community Rooms of the Enterprise Centre.
