Plans submitted for new medical centre and apartments in Blacon

CGI plans of the new three-storey development in Blacon.

Developer Sanctuary Homes has submitted plans to build a new medical centre and apartments in Blacon.

The three-storey development would be built next to the existing Parade Enterprise Centre and feature a GP surgery and community health centre on the ground floor.

The proposal also includes 12 one and four two-bedroom apartments above the medical centre, which would be available for affordable rent.

Sanctuary Homes, part of Sanctuary Group, held a public consultation to gather people’s views and comments before submitting the plans.

Danielle Wrigley, Sanctuary’s Senior Development Manager, said: “We are delighted to submit our planning application for new homes and medical facilities at the Parade in Blacon.

“As well as consulting with residents, we have worked with Blacon Community Forum and local providers to ask people what sort of healthcare facilities they would like offered at the building. These conversations will continue over the coming months.”

The Parade Enterprise Centre is run by Avenue Services, a joint venture between Sanctuary Group and Cheshire West and Chester Council.
