Remote working has fast become the new way of life for many people and Sanctuary is no different.
Staff have been working around the clock to ensure departments can continue to provide services to residents.
The Central Income Team (CIT), which looks after rent payments and offer advice on how to claim Universal Credit for thousands of residents across the country, has now been mobilised to work away from the familiar surroundings of their Adderbury office.
A total of 25 team members are now answering calls and helping residents from their lounges, kitchens and bedrooms, which are doubling up as makeshift offices.
Senior Income Manager David Barker, who is using his home TV as a mobile command centre, said: “This has been one of the most challenging experiences in my working career.
“I’m extremely proud of the way my friends and colleagues at the CIT rose to the challenges they faced with little to no notice and I look forward to welcoming everyone back when this is all over.”
Managers have also been calling staff every day to support them and also seek solutions for staff with families, such as flexible working hours or weekend working.
