The party spirit is on its way to Blacon with the return of a fun-filled community festival.
This year’s circus-themed event is taking place at Queen Elizabeth Fields on Blacon Avenue from 11am-3pm on Saturday 7 July and promises all the thrills and spills of the big top, with acrobats, jugglers and much more besides.
Dressed in an array of colourful costumes, local primary school children will get proceedings started in style with a parade from The Arches Community Primary School, on Saughall Road, at 10.45am.
The summer spectacular will be officially opened by Chester MP Chris Matheson at 11am, kicking off a packed day of activities and entertainment including a fun fair, more than 30 stalls, balloon modelling, music, dance and theatre performances.
One of the main attractions will see the talented stars of the Adam Brown Dance Company take to the stage at 1pm for a special performance sure to delight the crowds.
Paul Knight, head of Avenue Services, said: “The festival is always one of the highlights of the calendar in Blacon and I’m delighted to say that we have another fantastic, fun-filled event in store this year.
“Residents of all ages will be able to enjoy a wonderful array of activities and entertainment and we look forward to joining the community in celebrating all the great things that Blacon has to offer.”
