People unable to get access to essential supplies during the coronavirus crisis are being sent food parcels by a Worcester-based housing association.
Sanctuary Housing, which manages properties throughout England and Scotland, is delivering 500 parcels to its most vulnerable residents.
Each parcel contains non-perishable food items to ensure those who cannot leave their homes are supported with emergency food.
Staff have been making up the parcels at Noble House in Worcester, which is managed by Sanctuary Retirement Living, ready for distribution from regional hubs across the country.
Deliveries will be made by Sanctuary employees who have volunteered their time to ensure residents get the supplies they need
Kimberley De Vergori, Sanctuary’s Head of Housing, said: “It’s vitally important that all our residents have access to food and essentials at this time.
“This unprecedented package of support has been made possible through a great collaborative effort by teams across Sanctuary and just goes to show what can be achieved when we work together.”
