Sanctuary Housing fill charity’s food shelves for Christmas

2 December 2015

Ipswich charity FIND will be stocking its hampers in the run up to Christmas thanks to a welcome delivery of produce from generous Sanctuary Housing staff.

Supporting a local charity

Sanctuary’s Ipswich office-based staff wanted to support a local charity as part of their Christmas festivities. More than £200 worth of food was gathered by colleagues and donated to FIND, a Christian-based charity helping local families in need.

How do FIND support the community at Christmas?

FIND packs up their festive hampers to send to individuals, families and lone parents, as well as the elderly, sick, disabled or homeless. Last Christmas, the charity delivered 1,020 hampers which benefited more than 1,000 children and 800 adults.

Maureen Reynel from FIND, commented: “When local people come on board to support us it is an acknowledgement that FIND is doing the right thing at the right time.”

FIND are always in need of donations of non-perishable food items and good quality, clean household goods. To donate, or if you are interested in volunteering, contact Maureen Reynel on 01473 833351.
