Sanctuary Housing is helping its residents in Liverpool to get ‘work ready’ through a tailored programme of one-to-one employment coaching.

With support from electrical distributor Rexel, Sanctuary has appointed a Work Ready Coach to help residents develop their skills and move towards full-time employment, training or education.

The coach, Lisa Rice, works closely with residents, offering them individual support tailored to their needs.

The programme is open to all Sanctuary residents aged 18+ living in Liverpool, Sefton, Wirral and Knowsley, and can offer advice and assistance with:

  • Writing and updating CVs
  • Accessing training opportunities
  • Confidence improving and developing skills
  • Exploring volunteering and work experience opportunities
  • Help with job searches
  • Interview preparation

Lisa has been working with residents remotely during the Covid-19 pandemic, helping to ensure they are best prepared to meet the challenges of the current job market.

Lisa said: “Everyone’s circumstances are different and the programme is a great opportunity to help residents explore their options, realise their potential and achieve their goals.

“Whether it’s working on a CV, securing a work placement or identifying the best route for further training, we can deliver the right support to help people take the next step on their employment journeys.”

Sanctuary residents interested in finding out more or taking part in the programme can call 07867 902306 or email lisa.rice@sanctuary-housing.co.uk.
