Residents in Lache are gearing up for their annual family fun day next month.
What will be at Sanctuary’s fun day in Lache?
A football cage, courtesy of Cheshire Police, and circus skills sessions are just some of the attractions at the event which is taking place at Lache Community Centre, Hawthorn Road, between 11.30am and 4pm, on Saturday July 11.
Lache Fun Day organised by Sanctuary Housing
Organised by Sanctuary Housing in partnership with a team of volunteers led by Su Johnstone, the event will also feature live music and a visit from the army from the nearby Dee Barracks.
Partners working together at Lache Fun Day
Local organisations contributing to the colourful and fun-filled day include St. Mark’s Church, Chester Healthy Living Centre, Lache Health Centre, the Pathways team who help to find employment and training opportunities, and Lache Children’s Centre who will provide advice, information and entertainment.
Next Big Sing talent competition
The finale of the Next Big Sing talent competition, featuring pupils from Lache and St. Clare’s primary schools, will round off the day.
Michele Payne, Sanctuary Housing’s Resident Involvement Manager, said: "The event is set to be a great family day out for all the community and will be bigger and better than ever. Su and the other volunteers are working hard to bring in lots of new activities this year and I’d encourage local residents to come along and see what’s on offer.”
